Post Conference Depression Syndrome

I spent the past week in Austin, Texas, for the International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP) Conference.  And now that I am home, I believe I have officially recognized a new disorder.  It is called Post Conference Depression Syndrome (aka PCDS).

I attended the conference as a form of Professional Development, to learn more about the culinary industry…

And one side effect was the accumulation of life experiences that I’ll never forget…

After returning home, I experienced an overwhelming sense of happiness.  I should have expected the tears that would flow as I reflected upon the experience and looked upon my photographs with nostalgia…

Maybe you have experienced similar symptoms?  I can’t be alone – please share your PCDS story.

PCDS? No kidding. I am suffering big time. Although, several co-workers mentioned I was “glowing”! I intend to glow AND drink from the bottle of Austin- slowly savoring every sip, until we descend upon NY :)

  3. Great post! I was completely lethargic for one day thinking about all the work I had to catch up on, but now I am inspired by all the things I learned!

Indeed! Feels like I was sprinting for five days and just came to a sudden stop. Your pictures are beautiful, it was so nice to see you in person. Already looking forward to NYC.
