In case you hadn’t noticed, I care a lot about community service. But only because I am selfish. No, really. I like how doing service makes me feel. And I love inspiring kids to do the same. Yep – selfish.
Studio 4 Art and I recently held our second annual SOUP event. You might have seen the recent post about the classes where local students and I were up to our elbows in soup…. I thought I’d offer you an update, showing you the incredible bowls that her students made, and the guests enjoying our combined efforts.

What an incredible day. Children were proud to share their bowls. Kids were thrilled to have their soup on the menu. And families gathered to spend quality time together. The beneficiaries? Local families in crisis. All in all – not a bad way to spend a few hours.
Does your family ever do community service together? If not, is there something I could do to help you – offering ideas, perhaps?

What a great idea!
Oh how cute, I love that they made their own soup bowls!
This is such a great event, Michelle. Such important lessons. Thanks for sharing the adorable pictures.
Wow, I love this idea! Can I talk about it on my site – Seriously Soupy?
