Two days before Thanksgiving, I hosted a Drop In & Decorate event with a group of children who decorated for the homeless. I shared some photos, but what I didn’t tell you was that we had a special guest. Michael is the host of What’s Cooking (great minds think alike, right?), the cooking show on Allrecipes.com. For the holidays, they are doing a special event called Cookies Across America. Because they are good people, they are featuring Lydia’s organization, and are encouraging people to use the power of the cookie for good.

Grateful Staff!
There are lots more photos where these came from! Check ‘em out on Flickr.

How great of these kids! Love that they are learning to give back and be compassionate at such a young age!
You know how much I love this organization. Wonderful job you all! Very cool video!
My 21-year-old daughter watched the video with me and said, “We should do that, too.” She especially liked using pictures to stimulate imaginations about how to decorate the cookies. I was touched by Michelle’s remark to the children about making the cookies a gift of love. Awww. . .
Oh, how awesome!!! Yay!
Look at you! I loved the video and what you did
