Thanks for your enthusiasm, ladies! I hope you are both able to participate - or at least share my idea with others! So many people have fantastic photos and stories from their time in the kitchen with their children...hopefully they will inspire other people to cook with their kids, too.
Happy New Year!

First of all, I love your Sand-Art Brownies. What a clever idea! Second of all, I think your What's Cooking with YOUR Kids series is going to be a blast to follow. Now that my kids are older and busier, it's harder to get them involved in the day-to-day cooking. That said, every once in a while, my 11-year old gets the cooking bug (so hopefully, I can participate in the series).
Happy New Year.

I'll try to get your some pictures of my two little sous-chefs at their cooking best (most of the time when chocolate and powdered sugar are involved!). I have been trying to involve them in the kitchen since they were able to sit on a high chair and play with a spoon...
I try to make one dish with them per week (posted under Yesterday with my kitchen we made... )... This morning, we made Apple sauce with quinces. They just loved cutting the apples and turning the vegetables mill. Magic! Easy. Healthy! No mess!
Happy Holidays!
