Hi Gina - you are doing great!!!
If you start to compost (or get chickens!) you will have even less food waste - then you could probably get a smaller trash can through your waste management company. You could do a worm bin if you don't have enough space for a big compost pile...
It would be great if you win - let me know!

How did I miss this post? I love your content & site but somehow did. Anyways...

We use Sigg & Nalgene bottles exclusively whenever we're out & about. We even bring them on vacation. It makes us really sad to think of all the empty water bottles filling up our open land because we know not everyone recycles.

So, pre-cycle & get a great reusable bottle! Preferably not one made in China.

We end up with just over one bag of trash a week & it's mostly tissue paper (it's been a bad cold & allergy season here) and food scraps. I have to admit the handkerchief concept seems gross to me, but we're trying to incorporating a compost bin into our small yard.

Great post idea! And I love the lunch kit...hope I win one!
